La
Tulipe Cosmetiques was establish in 1980 after
a long stage of laboratory and clinical research.
The Basic idea from its founders was to produce
a hypoallergenic cosmetics suitable for tropical
climate. Clinical test and patch tests were
conducted by La Tulipe cosmetiques' consulting
doctor, the result of which were published in
1995 in medical and pharmaceutical magazines.
The name La Tulipe originates from the French
language, a country closely associated with
fashion and beauty trends. The tulip flower
represents the hope that our products will enhance
the skin consumers, making it as smooth and
firm as a tulip. Also, the foreign word was
chosen to facilitate acceptance from the international
market
Our
vision is "to be a leader in Indonesia cosmetics
market, excel in R&D and the pioneer for
the skin care products line".
And
the mission is "to provide target customers
with high quality products by emphasizing on
hypoallergenic and efficacy factors combines
with high commitment on customer service to
achieve customer satisfaction".

TULIPE HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT
La
Tulipe Cosmetiques was first produced as
a home-industry brand. In the beginning
only cleaners and toners were produced.
They were then followed by moisturizers
and other products.
The
production of La Tulipe Cosmetiques was move to
jalan Prapen, Surabaya. New skin care products for
normal as well as for problem skin were added to
the existing line. These products were used for
beauty license exams from basic to expert level.
At the time, La Tulipe was only distributed in East
Java with scarcely any promotion but it already
showed real acceptance from the consumer. This was
proven by the usage of La Tulipe products by skin
experts and cosmetologist.
La
Tulipe moved again to jalan Jemur Sari, Surabaya
(closer to the industrial area).
This
year marked the commencement of the construction
of rembaka's own factory at jalan Berbek Industri
VII no 4, Surabaya. The Design of the factory
follows the CPKB criteria (The Correct Way
to Produce Cosmetics). However, due to the
unfavourable economis situation, the finalization
of the factory was delayed until end of 1999
and was officiated early 2000. In accordance
with La Tulipe's effort in perfecting its
products lines, La Tulipe also expanded its
distribution. Today it can be found all over
Indonesia starting from Medan to Jayapura
and is promoted nationwide. La Tulipe Cosmetiques
is hoped to grab a significant share in the
skin care, decorative and hair care market.
Shortly, La Tulipe Cosmetiques is planned
to be exported overseas to become one of Indonesia's
non-oil export commodity.
A
year later, from a home-industry base. La
Tulipe turned into a real industry and leased
a factory at jalan Rungkut Industri VIII no
26-28, Surabaya under the name of PT. REMBAKA.
Rembaka derives from the Javanese word meaning
"to develope together". That year,
more new products were added to its of skin
care, decorative, stage make-up and fantasy
make-up lines. These products were used for
beauty license exams as well as beauty salons.
La Tulipe Cosmetiques decorative lines first
contest appearance started in 1987 when the
brand was used by professional make-up artist
to participate in beauty contest at national
as well as international level. That year,
La Tulipe was awarded the Grand Prize in the
National Level Contest as well as First Prize
in the 1987 ASEAN Contest.
